Is it possible to leave a faction without the penalty of -20 relation from all clans? Question Ive been both a merc and a vassal, but if i try to leave the kingdom by speaking to the king, i get -20 relation with every clan in the faction.
At first, there was a penalty. A few patches in, they removed it. People wanted to be able to hop around merc'ing for different factions. I don't think it's a bad moveinitially being a merc was about as restrictive as being a vassal (as far as relations penalty for leaving faction), without the benefits.

Nobby Nov 5, 2022 @ 3:21am. Buying a fief. I recently started a new sandbox game and my goal is to create my own kingdom and conquer the map basically (I'm in it for the long haul). I just need to get started with my first fief. I remember from back when I first played it, becoming a vassal can get you shafted quite a lot so I thought going for IF they don't get what they want they might leave. For example There is no need for a tier 1 clan to have a town or more than 1 castle. There is no reason for a tier 5 to not have at least 1 town and one castle. Apr 4, 2020. #1. When leaving a kingdom as a mercenary we currently get -20 Penalty with ALL lords of that faction. You are only a mercenary you shouldn't be losing this much relations, maybe lose -5 or -10 with THAT specific lord that you signed up with to be a mercenary. Right now this is very exaggerated and I would like for it to be amended T7vSx.
