Used a Canon 6D and Canon 70-200 f/4 lens. Shooting in Manual Mode, settings were 1/500, f/4 ISO 200/250 both shot at about a focal length of 100mm, subject is in the same spot just turned a slightly before taking the shot.
The EOS RP is powered by the new Digic 8 processor, but its 26.2MP sensor is almost exactly the same as the one inside the EOS 6D Mark II. It has been optimised to work with a mirrorless system and to accommodate the difference in the flange back distance of the RF mount, but essentially it’s the same sensor.
Canon EOS 6D + 50mm @ 50mm, ISO 100, 1/4000, f/1.4. My biggest gripe with the 6D is the viewfinder – it is recessed very deep inside, making it almost impossible to clean quickly. This can be a problem in situations where the viewfinder is fogged up – you will have a hard time reaching the glass surface to wipe it. A bit of background, I purchased a 5D Mark III brand new in November of 2016 from B&H. I have been shooting on it for 2 years with no AF issues whatsoever. I brought the camera with me to Banff on a trip and it was accidentally dropped by my friend. I sent the camera to Canon and they cleaned and recalibrated the camera and lens ($500). Shoot, I purchased a 6dMarkII the end of November and struggled with this exact problem. I returned the camera to B&H and got a new one, but am still unhappy with the inconsistent forward focusing I'm experiencing. I think I'm outside of my return period and am tempted to try and have it repaired. D etVCt.
