But on average, how long are your turn signals on or brakes applied? Usually 5 minutes or less. I was playing around with mine with the signal on and the resistor got warm in my hand (probably 100 something) but not 400 degrees for those couple minutes.

Seeing as it's one complete side it must be in the wiring where the passenger side comes off the main harness or turn signal switch right? The brake and turn signal lights work btw.
2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Turn signal flasher. Replace with a heavy duty one. Turn on the signal and listen for the clicking noise. this is your flasher. locate it and replace it. J13ntv. 2208 posts · Joined 2010. #5 · Feb 10, 2012. Remove rear brake light fixture- twist the bulb socket, remove from housing. Replace bulb. Reassemble. Bulb 3057 for main/turn/brake bulb. Surprised its out already. Check the manual for other bulbs and how to remove the fixture in more detail.
